I bet you thought I forgot to post the finished Rouge. Well - I'd not had time to do the seaming. I actually sewed on the last sleeve in 20 minutes before work this morning. I still have to fix all the ends, but, for the most part, it's done.

All of the knitting was done in under two weeks, but I didn't have time - or was too tired - to do the piecing until now.

Almost done. I would have finished yesterday but I was busy. As long as I finish Friday I should be within my self-imposed 2 week deadline.

Just have the hood left to do.

This weekend saw the completion of the sleeves; only the top front and the hood left to go.

I've decided to skip the front for the time being - mostly because I don't want to carry the bloody thing around in the heat - so here's the beginning of the first sleeve.

Well, I hauled ass on Tuesday (day 5) and got this much done, which is just as well, because I haven't touched it since. If I had put my mind to it, I could have finished this by the end of this weekend, but I don't really need to , so none's the loss.

Day four - almost to the armpit. trying not to make anymore mistakes.

I'm not going to do the kangaroo pocket on this one. Perhaps I will with future versions.

That's a weekend's worth of work. (not including time at the beer festival)

I removed the provisional cast-on and turned the hem under, and am working through the torso.

I've already made a huge error (crossed cables the wrong way at the hem) but I'm not pulling it out. I can always make another if it bothers me. I'm already considering making a cardigan version after this.

(Jeez the colors are off on this photo - it's dark brown natural wool, not purple. Oh well.)

I've finally broken down and bought the Rogue pattern.

This is a morning commute's worth - basically the provisional cast-on and the start of the hem facing.

The wool is from Stannard Farm; they have a booth at our weekly greenmarket. It's some sort of naturally brown Romney X Border Leicester, I think.

Well, I finished, and it was harmless. I thought it was going to be smaller (I used one size smaller needles, simply because I was too lazy to look for the proper size) but upon a quick blocking, it looks like it will be pretty big once I finally do block it properly.

On to the next project - whatever that may be.

I should be done by early next week. Just the lace border left.

It's been a week and so far I'm cruising right along.

Well, with the advent of spring, I figured I'd try to make friends with the hated Spring Cashmere Lace Shawl again. I'm finally trying it in cashmere. This is day one. It seems to be going okay. I hate that I hate a pattern. I shouldn't have any sort of valence for inanimate objects.
